Promotional Film: On the Bonneville Power Administration, the Federal program for the development of the Columbia River and its tributaries. Using a map to locate Bonneville, Grand Coulee, The Dallas, Priest Rapids, John Day, Chief Joseph and McNary Dams on the Columbia River, and Lower Monumental, Little Goose, Ice Harbor and Lower Granite Dams on the Snake River, explains use of dams for irrigation, navigation, flood control and power development. The film includes scenes of the Grand Coulee Dam construction and the 1948 Vanport flood. Originally commissioned in 1941, the completion of the film was delayed by World War II.
